Yes, yes, I'm late!!

Yes, I know I'm SUPER late in updating how the T/G weekend went!!

The food was AWESOME!! but the company was incomparable!!

My niece Becky, nephew Jesse and I stayed up until midnight hooked on playing Dutch Blitz ... I'm addicted now, LOL!! (Thanks Becky!!)

Then the next morning we all headed over to the HSWP ... all ten of us!
Yes, we were missing a couple of members but we took lots of pictures till my very handsome nephew (Jesse) ran out of BATTERIES!!!

We did take lots of family photos though! It was a wonderful time had by all!
It was Sam and Abby's first time there and they REALLY enjoyed it!

We saw the 48 yr old Hippo out of the water for the first time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was so neat to be that close to such a large creation!!!

I feel truly blessed everyone!!

I am so happy, I'm going to have our whole family over for Thanksgiving dinner!!

We are thrilled to have so many blessings joining us and honoring us with their presence!

May the Lord bless us everyday, but please Lord, if it be Your will .... allow everyone to have a great fellowship time and the food to be edible. (ROTFLOL!!)
May we all see the REAL blessings of having our Lord Jesus in our lives and not just by name but living the example HE has left for us!! EVIL BAD KIDNEY INFECTION

I was on 2 different anti-biotic through IV and on a constant saline/potassium drip. My potassium was dangerously low and no they didn't give me a bunch of bananas to eat (Cindy! lol)

I'll update more later.

I'm so tired and so busy, not to mention still taking anti-biotic's for the next 2 WEEKS!!!!!!!!!!

That I might delay in post some.
Please be patient, but I wanted to let everyone know what was up with me!

update on me and my infection ~ oy` vey!!

Ok so I just got back from the ER a while ago and GUESS WHAT!!!???!!!

Yes, I have a Kidney Infection and bad one too. The doc said I had waaaaaaaaaaaaay too many white blood cells in my urine so that is not a good sign and he also shared with me that if I would have waited another day or two, we would be talking sepsis!!

That's NEVER a good thing eh~!

Thanks to my wonderful husband, awesome SIL, beautiful niece, selfless MIL and a wouldn't-trade-for-anything-in-the-world-friend = KIMMIE~~!!

The nurse gave me a shot of some kind of antibiotic, because quite frankly the doctor INSISTED, I declined the pain killer shot, and sent me on my way with a VERY expensive antibiotic ($140.00 for 10 pills!!!!!!!!!!!!!) call "Levaquin" supposedly the strongest antibiotic?

He (doc) said he didn't know how I made it this long but you know what ... I do!

Our God is an AWESOME God and HE preserved me and protect me.
"Psalms 34:7-8 The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them. O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. "



Mind you ppl, the antibiotic shot hurt more than my kidney's did! and still does!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That was a wicked shot!!

Well I'm tired and I need to get some sleep ~

Phone/Children?

Ah yes, has anyone ever wondered why is it that your children don't seem to need you for a thing ... UNTIL ... you get on the phone?!?

All of a sudden it's "mommy this" or "mommy that: not that I mind but the irony can not be missed!!!

You'd think they some kind of pre-disposed phone-monitoring-alarm genetically implanted in them, by the way they know RIGHT when you get on that phone!!!

Ah, such is life and I love being a mom, even if my phone convo's last on a regular basis a total of 13 seconds before the inevitable words "sorry, I have to call you back" ... which never happens!

Then when you finally do get off the phone ... they settle and don't need you anymore!

ROTFLOL!!!

CLEAN, CLEANERS, CLEAN!

Ok, so if any of you are like me (and you poor thing if you are!) I like to keep a clean house and I like to live as organically as possible and within our means!

But I am just blown away with all the chemicals that are in our cleaners! I remember just using vinegar to clean glass and counters and it worked great!!! Lemon and baking soda were life savers and NOW???

Now there are so many chemicals in our cleaners that soon, we are going to need Hazmat suits just to clean our homes!!!! LOL -funny but true!

Our Manatee Lap Book (copied from HSing blog)

Ok, ok, just kill me already, yes ... I copied this from my HSing Blog.
I just had to share it and it was so much fun too!! We are just sick as DOGS here and this was a great way to just have fun and learn at the same time. Enjoy!

Ok, besides the fact that we are all sick with a cold and we want to crawl into a bottle of "nyquil", LOL.

We still managed to have some sort of fun activity over the weekend! I'm gonna be doing this backwards (warning!) but we went a few weeks ago to the Homosassa Springs Wildlife Park. It was so much fun, but it also stirred up some facinating info on the FL manatee (West Indian manatee).

So, a lap book just had to be created in honor of this gentle giant!

My DD#1 and I created and attended to this little project ...



My DH helped as he always does PRAISE GOD!

Here is the Lap Book about the "Florida Manatee" -










This pic below is the first left half of the folder. DD#1 had to list the different species of manatees found around the world today, and also had to list "where" in the world they are found.



We also looked up plenty of facts about Manatee's to fill up 3 lap book or a good double one for sure! We added little square fact boxes here and there. Also listed the dangers to the Manatee today.
Lots of info on them and pictures too!



The back was DD#2's idea, leave it to a four year old. Good job honey!!



We didn't do a fancy-schmanshy lap book, just a simple one folder style, and it was buckets of fun. I already know 3 ppl that are gonna ask "why didn't you take pictures of the process?"

Well, quite frankly we were so into it that I just plum forgot ... skew me! LOL!!!

I highly recommend Lap Booking to anyone, trust me they really learn the stuff this way! Besides it's not everyday that you get to use both sides of the brain! ... Uhm, well you do but shhhhhh! It was a good argument for starting up on Lap Booking, *wink*!

My sister-in-law sent this to me (God bless her!) and it is a hoot! Not to mention, it might just be my NEW anthem, ROTFLOL!!!

I just wanted to note that our beautiful (inside and out!) niece Becky was here two weeks ago today and WE MISS HER!!!

We had a blast, she made the "Chewy's" with orange extract and they were YUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUMMY!

Ok, so on Saturday's we like to prepare everything that will be needed for Saturday night and all of Sunday.
We prepare for the Sabbath which starts on the Sunset of Saturday and ends Monday's! (at least for us)

Ok, so my crazy (and extremely lovable) husband calls me from none-other than the back yard and yells at me to "hurry up and come outside to see a rainbow" so being the avid professional (NOT!) photographer that I am ....
I grabbed my dig cam and made a bee-line out the back door!

Boy, was that man RIGHT!!!
